Suntech signs contract with Vectra  November 17, 2009

NewConnect-listed Suntech SA has signed a significant contract with Vectra SA Capital Group, Poland’s second largest cable television operator. Vectra will buy licences as part of that deal.

Under the Vectra transaction, the number of licenses for the Billing/CRM/Workflow system will be largely increased. This is due to the expansion of that system. Since last September, the Billing/CRM/Workflow system has been used by Spray S.A., a Warsaw-based operator acquired by Vectra.

Both the expansion of Vectra co-operation and the contract to sell the Billing/CRM/Workflow system in Mexico fall in line with an aggressive sales policy adopted for 2009-10, whereby the company wants to realise profits from its technology investments so far. It is planned that more orders will be finalised in the next quarter. ”We have invested heavily in product research and development in the recent years. At the moment, our solutions are among the most sophisticated globally. This can be evidenced by the fact that the largest Polish telecom operators are choosing Suntech software, which successfully competes against solutions offered by the worldwide market leaders”, saysAndrzej Saczuk, the Vice-President of Suntech S.A.

The fast-growing BSS/OSS market is there to be taken. It is estimated that this market is worth approx. US$8 billion per year in the Billing and Network Inventory segment alone. The company has already set up distribution channels, such as through its subsidiary in Atlanta. Top Consulting SA acts as Suntech’s authorised advisor.
